In celebration of Mother’s Day, ICU baby’s Core Youth Ambassador Group and the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart Chapter hosted several baby showers for NICU families. Nearly a hundred NICU family members at South Miami Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital, and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital attended the celebrations.

Each event featured crafts, games, gifts, food, and opportunities for families to relax, connect, and celebrate together. Because many NICU moms don’t have the opportunity to have a baby shower, these events are even more meaningful, especially when they leave with gifts to help them prepare for their baby’s homecoming. ICU baby’s Youth Ambassadors helped to start this annual tradition in order to honor NICU moms and remind families they are supported at every step of their journey.
