This year’s Celebration of Miracles gala brought together our community of supporters for an elegant evening filled with champagne, florals and dancing! The gala’s theme – A Night at The Chateau – came alive as guests were greeted by a champagne wall, with gloved hands serving bubbly through a green hedge. Guests mingled over cocktail hour and then dined by candlelight on a three course dinner in the opulent ballroom of the Loews Coral Gables Hotel.
ICU baby’s presentation of programs and initiatives left a powerful impact. One of the highlights was miracle baby Mahalia, now 4 years old, joining her parents on stage after a video of their emotional NICU journey was shared with guests. The Fernandez pave the Way Foundation pledged a generous $30,000 match for money raised and guests responded, raising over $50,000 in the first 10 minutes of the appeal for support. Then, the crowd continued to raise their paddle during the live auction of trips, a celebrity chef experience, jewelry and courtside HEAT seats!
Thanks to Gloria Fonts Suarez (Board Member) and Drew Stoudt (Chairman of the Board) for their commitment to planning such a successful event.
