Successful Summer Swaddle Drive!

Successful Summer Swaddle Drive!

Baby swaddle blankets are not only adorable, but they also help babies feel warm and secure. Our NICU parents use swaddle blankets to cuddle with their baby during kangaroo skin-to-skin care in the hospital and to swaddle them when they are away. Swaddle blankets are just one of the essential items that families receive in our signature ICU baby NICU Pack, which is given to all families whose baby has an expected stay in the NICU of 2 weeks or more at Baptist Health System’s South Miami Hospital and Holtz Children’s Hospital at UM/Jackson Memorial Medical Center.

This summer we launched our very first Summer Swaddle Drive on social media to collect swaddle blankets for our NICU families. Our initial goal was to collect 100 swaddle blankets in one month. Thanks to our generous supporters, former NICU families, and ICU baby friends we reached our goal within the first week! We ultimately collected a total of 245 swaddle blankets for our NICU families in just 2 weeks! We’re grateful for everyone that made our first Summer Swaddle Drive a huge success. We truly appreciate the donations and heartwarming messages! Thank you to…
