A Morning of Hope at Zoo Miami

A Morning of Hope at Zoo Miami

ICU baby’s 5th Annual Hope Parade at Zoo Miami brought together 964 participants, including families, friends, and NICU graduates for a morning full of joy and connection. The day kicked off with lively performances from a magician, Miami HEAT dancers, Zumba instructors, and mini cheerleaders, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement and smiles.

The highlight of the morning was the Hallway of Hope, a touching display of photos showing each baby during their NICU journey and who they are today. Families walked proudly through the pathway, celebrating resilience, growth, and hope. Children, parents, and volunteers came together to cheer, reflect, and embrace the community that supports NICU families.

We also honored the babies who didn’t survive their NICU journey by reading aloud their names in our Bereavement Ceremony. We hung butterfly chimes in their honor in our Tree of Remembrance.

The Hope Parade perfectly captured ICU baby’s mission to unite the NICU community and remind families that they are never alone. It was a day of joy, connection, and inspiration, leaving lasting memories for everyone involved.
