ICU baby recognizes how physically, mentally and emotionally challenging having a baby in the NICU can be. A team of NICU Parent Mentors offer much needed support to current NICU families. Our mentors have had a NICU experience themselves and can empasize with what the parents are going through.

Members of ICU baby’s in-hospital NICU Parent Mentor Team are pre-screened by the hospital to enter the NICU and provide parent-to-parent support at the baby’s bedside. ICU baby’s NICU Parent Mentors also provide telesupport, regularly calling and texting NICU families to help guide them through the uncertain NICU journey.

Each week, the ICU baby NICU Parent Mentor visits the NICU or calls the Mother to listen, offer comfort and direct the family to resources in the hospital or community that might benefit them during their baby’s NICU stay.
